The flat clear poly bags are made from LDPE (Low-Density Polyethylene). LDPEs are the most commonly used packaging materials. These bags are sized 11 inches in width by 18 inches in length (279.4mm x 457.2mm) with a thickness of 4 mil. This gauge makes them stronger from 2 mil or 3 mil poly bags. The bags are made from seamless tubing so that there are no weak points from slits or side seals that could tear. They can be heat-sealed and FDA and USDA-approved for food packaging.
